What you will learn
- Analyze individual motivations using Herzberg and Maslow frameworks, applying each to a workplace example to identify which needs a manager can influence.
- Diagnose team roles and norms via the Belbin Team Roles model, and identify role gaps or overlaps that affect a team’s balance and results.
- Evaluate organizational culture with the OCP framework and Schein’s levels, separating visible artifacts from espoused values and underlying assumptions with evidence from a real organization.
- Compare transformational and transactional leadership approaches by describing the behaviors, strengths, limits and situations in which each works best.
- Resolve team conflicts through Thomas-Kilmann conflict modes by selecting the mode—competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding or accommodating—that fits the situation and justifying the choice.
- Design and implement change-management plans using ADKAR, with an action for each stage—awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement—and a way to check progress.
- Make ethical decisions considering stakeholder impacts by identifying who is affected, weighing benefits and harms, and explaining the reasoning behind the chosen option.
- Identify personal leadership style using 360-feedback insights, compare self-perception with the views of others and set one or two development actions.
- Drive team engagement through participatory decision-making by choosing the right level of involvement—inform, consult or decide together—for each type of decision.
- Measure behavioral and engagement outcomes via surveys and performance metrics, designing fair questions and reading results without over-interpreting them.
